Department of Natural Resources Police Identify Kyra Lynn Feick, 25, of Arnold, as Individual Recovered from Magothy River
The Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police have identified Kyra Lynn Feick, 25, of Arnold, as the person who was recently recovered from the Magothy River.
Maryland Natural Resources Police officers were dispatched to the Magothy River near Gibson Island on June 26, at approximately 11 a.m., in response to a report of a missing boater. The individual was last seen operating a bowrider-style vessel during the evening of June 25. Upon arrival, officers found the unmanned vessel anchored between Gibson Island and Dobbins Island, with personal possessions on board.
A search effort involving multiple agencies and utilizing aviation and dive resources commenced. At approximately 1 p.m., divers recovered the body of Kyra Feick near the anchor line. The circumstances surrounding the female's death are currently under investigation.
According to an agency spokesperson, autopsy results from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore are still pending, which will help investigators determine the circumstances of the death.
