Pasadena Traffic Stop Yields Arrest on Weapons, CDS Allegations, County Police Say

A recent traffic stop in the Pasadena area yielded an arrest in connection with weapons and CDS allegations, the Anne Arundel County Police Department said today.

On April 20, 2026, at approximately 11:25 p.m., authorities reportedly conducted a traffic stop on a light blue 2009 Infiniti sedan on Solley Road near Energy Parkway. "The vehicle initially stopped but fled as detectives approached. Detectives did not pursue the vehicle, but it crashed a short distance away," officials alleged in a press release. "Detectives observed the suspect concealing items under a parked vehicle before taking him into custody."

According to the press release, detectives allegedly recovered and seized the following items: 

Cocaine- 10.05 grams
Crack Cocaine- 4.97 grams 
Cannabis- 324.56 grams 
PCP- 4.84 grams
Suboxone- 2 packages
Large amount of CDS packaging containers 
Beretta APX, 9mm, obliterated serial number (loaded with 9 rounds) 
9mm ammunition - 19 additional rounds 
.40-caliber ammunition: 15 rounds 

The suspect, who remains innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, was identified as Ryan Kelly Hazel, a 34 year old resident of Baltimore.
