Annapolis Man Held Without Bond Following Armed Robbery Arrest, Police Say


A 29 year old man from Annapolis is currently being held without bond following a recent armed robbery arrest.  

According to Annapolis Police, an officer was in the 1700 block of Forest Drive on Saturday when he came across two vehicles that appeared to have been involved in a road rage incident. 

The driver of one of the vehicles, Dametres Short, led out of the vehicle on foot away from the officer. Officers were able to stop him on Newtowne Dr at Skippers Lane.   

The adult male driver of the other vehicle involved reported that he met Short in the 1700 block of Forest Dr to purchase a vehicle. Short allegedly displayed a handgun to the victim and stole money from him. The victim was following Short in his vehicle when officers encountered them.   

Short was arrested and charged with armed robbery and five other criminal charges related to the crime. He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond.
