Library's Annual Summer @Your Library Challenge Returns with a Novel Challenge for Teens
The Anne Arundel County Public Library (AACPL). Their popular annual Summer @ Your Library (S@YL) program is returning with the theme "Color Our World," focusing on connection and learning throughout the summer.
From June 1st to August 31st, everyone is encouraged to participate in daily reading and attend the library's educational events to prevent summer learning loss. Participants can track their progress for a chance to win various prizes.
This year introduces a new "Choose Your Own Adventure" for teens, where they can earn points by reading or completing activities for prize opportunities, including a Nintendo Switch Mario Kart bundle for one lucky winner. The Wild Card Bingo program for adults is also back in 2025, offering a grand prize of four Southwest Airlines passes. Kids can enjoy "Summer Quest," which encourages reading for fun and the chance to win prizes like a Paper Flower Science Kit or a Lego® Creator set.
You can sign up for the Summer @ Your Library challenges at any AACPL branch to receive a game board, or you can register and track your progress online through Beanstack.
To keep everyone engaged, AACPL libraries will be hosting a variety of fun, entertaining, and educational events all summer, including:
