Charging Documents: 'I Love You, Don't Hurt Me' Witness Recounts Woman's Pleas Before Police Uncovered Remains of Homicide Victim in Brooklyn Park; Husband Made Suicide Threat During Arrest

According to charging documents, police believe a woman was heard pleading for her life prior to the discovery of a woman in Brooklyn Park this week, and that her husband allegedly made suicidal statements while being taken into custody.

The documents indicate that on the morning of May 23, 2025, authorities responded to the vicinity of the intersection of Alley 79 and Disney Avenue, where they discovered the body of a deceased female concealed beneath tires. Based on tattoo descriptions, investigators have identified her as Sarah Bundy and noted the presence of significant trauma to her head, face, and neck.

Surveillance footage from a location near the alley depicted an individual matching Ms. Bundy's description in the company of a Black male wearing dark clothing and a hooded sweatshirt earlier that morning. This individual was observed leading Ms. Bundy in the direction of the alley. Contemporaneously, a witness reported hearing a woman exclaim, "I love you, don't hurt me."

Later on the same day, May 23, 2025, law enforcement officials investigated a report of child neglect at Ms. Bundy's residence. A social worker located her young child alone at the home, who stated that his parents, Sarah Bundy and Cedric Calloway, had departed the previous night and had not since returned.

Officers from the Baltimore Police Department located Mr. Calloway and, during the course of transporting him home, discovered an active arrest warrant. Upon being informed of his arrest, Mr. Calloway asserted that he and Ms. Bundy were robbed the previous night in the vicinity of Disney Avenue by an armed suspect who purportedly assaulted him and abducted Ms. Bundy. He claimed to have escaped and subsequently directed officers to their personal belongings near the intersection of Church Street and Muriel Avenue, which is in close proximity to where Ms. Bundy's body was found. These items included a wallet, clothing, and a metal pipe bearing what appeared to be bloodstains.

During an interview conducted by an Anne Arundel County Police detective, it was noted that Mr. Calloway matched the description of the individual captured in the surveillance footage. Baltimore police reported that Mr. Calloway made a statement indicating his wife was deceased prior to being officially informed of her death. Detectives also observed a lack of injuries consistent with his account of being robbed and noted what appeared to be bloodstains on his hands and fingernails. It is alleged that Mr. Calloway made unsolicited statements regarding the possibility of going to prison and taking his own life if charged with murder.
