County Police: Uzi Recovered During Traffic Stop in Millersville

The Anne Arundel County Police department allegedly recovered a loaded Uzí from a driver while conducting a traffic stop in Millersville. 

According to department officials, on May 5, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a police officer initiated a traffic stop of a blue Ford F-150 on Veterans Highway near Benfield Road in Millersville. During the stop, the officer located a .40 caliber Springfield handgun loaded with 15 rounds of ammunition, and a .22 caliber Carl Walther Uzi with drum magazine loaded with 11 rounds, authorities say.  

The driver, James Francis Roberts, 43, was taken into custody and charged, and the weapons were confiscated as evidence.
