County Police Arrest Lothian Man on Firearms Related Charges, Department Officials Say
A Lothian man was arrested last week on firearms related charges, the Anna Arundel County Police Department said.
Department officials said on May 6, 2025, at approximately 10:30 p.m., police officers responded to the 100 block of Bobcat Court in Lothian regarding a report of a subject discharging a firearm into a wooded area near several residences. A witness observed the suspect fire a round from a green, black, and gold rifle before entering the wooded area. Officers heard yelling behind a nearby residence and the sound of a firearm’s slide being racked. The suspect was located at his residence, where he was detained.
While checking the property, officers located a Diamondback Arms Model DB15 AR-15-style semi-automatic rifle on the rear deck, which was recovered and secured as evidence. The department’s Aviation Unit assisted by searching the surrounding wooded area for any victims or additional suspects; the search yielded negative results.
