Anne Arundel Democratic Party Condemns Racist Remarks Directed at Register of Wills Candidate
The Anne Arundel County Democratic Central Committee has released a statement, condemning racist slurs and stereotypes directed at a candidate in race for Register of Wills, saying such rhetoric has no place in politics or the community.
In the statement, party leaders said they became directly aware of the comments made on social media and pledged to continue speaking out against hate and discrimination while supporting candidates seeking office. “The Anne Arundel County Democratic Central Committee condemns the racist slurs directed at Courtney Buiniskis in the Democratic primary for Register of Wills recently on Facebook,” the committee said.

The organization also reaffirmed its support for all candidates and denounced hateful rhetoric.
“We will continue to stand up for all candidates and make it known widely and loudly that racism and hateful rhetoric are unacceptable and have no place in our politics or our community,” the statement continued.
