Annapolis Police Department Announces Arrest in Connection with 2025 Bens Drive Homicide
The Annapolis Police Department has announced the arrest of a 20 year old resident of Baltimore in connection with an alleged homicide that occurred on Bens Drive last year.
In a press release, department officials said that at approximately 1:40 a.m. on July 6, 2025, Annapolis Police officers responded to a call for a shooting in the area of Bens Drive. "Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim, identified as 23 year old Raishaun Mason, suffering from a gunshot wound in front of 14 Bens Drive. Mr. Mason was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries," the press release states.
The department said detectives were able to identify Khyree Lattimore, who remains innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, as a suspect in this homicide. "Lattimore was arrested on March 5, 2026. He has been charged with the murder of Raishaun Mason and the attempted murder of three other people. Mr. Lattimore is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond."
According to court records, Instagram was used to help investigators bring charges against Mr. Lattimore:
"I want to thank our officers, detectives, and public safety partners for their collaboration and tireless work in the investigation of this homicide," said Acting Police Chief Amy Miguez. "Our commitment to the safety of our community remains our highest priority. We will continue our work on this and other open homicides."
“This arrest is an important step toward justice for the victim and loved ones,” said Mayor Jared Littmann. “Our hearts ache for the family and those in the community impacted by this loss. Annapolis residents deserve safe neighborhoods and accountability when violence occurs. We will continue to work every day toward a safer and stronger Annapolis.”
