My Brotha's Keeper & My Sistah's Keeper Programs Participants Honored During Bi-Annual Graduation Ceremony in Annapolis
The My Brotha’s Keeper (MBK) and My Sistah’s Keeper (MSK) programs, led by People Builders Consulting, held their bi-annual graduation ceremony last weekend at Heritage Baptist Church in Annapolis.
Twenty-three participants completed the program, marking a commitment to personal growth, empowerment, and community engagement.
“We are incredibly excited to be part of their journey toward positive, generational change,” organizer Toni Strong-Pratt told Report Annapolis News. “Our MBK and MSK family is focused on making a measurable impact, one man, one woman, one family, and one community at a time.”
Strong-Pratt said the calling on her life, along with the transformation she continues to witness in participants, motivates both her to continue the work despite challenges. “We’ve created a safe space where individuals can be vulnerable, truthful, and authentic, free of judgment, and grounded in support, accountability, and love,” she said.
Family members, mentors, elected officials, and community advocates gathered to celebrate the graduates.
Organizers say the program continues to play a key role in providing mentorship and support to individuals and families across Maryland. The initiatives aim to help participants address unresolved generational trauma, reach their full potential, and transition from dependency to self-sufficiency.
