Agency Reportedly Employing Northrop Grumman Contractors Involved in Alleged Fatal Shooting Issues Statement
Allied Universal, the company which was reportedly employing the individuals who were allegedly involved in a recent fatal shooting at Northrop Grumman in Linthicum, has released a statement.
"We are deeply saddened by the loss of our employee, and our sympathies go out to his family and friends," the California based agency said in a statement to Report Annapolis News. "We are fully supporting the authorities as they conduct their investigation."
According to law enforcement sources, on January 28, 2026, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers with the Anne Arundel County Police Department responded to the Northrop Grumman facility located in the 7300 block of Aviation Boulevard in Linthicum following the report of a shooting.
"Preliminary information indicates there was a dispute inside the Northrop Grumman facility between two contracted security guards. During the dispute, one security guard discharged his firearm, striking the other security guard. The victim, identified as 37-year-old Joseph Keith Aman of Baltimore, Maryland, died from his injuries at the scene," county police stated. "A third contracted security guard intervened, disarmed the suspect and took him into custody. This was an isolated incident and did not involve Northrop Grumman employees."
26 year old Dylan Blake Chandler of Pasadena, who remains innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, has been charged with first degree murder, second degree murder and related charges. Mr. Chandler is currently being held without bond following a hearing in the Glen Burnie District Court, court records indicate.
