Police Identify Edgewater Resident Brian Yetter, 23, as Person Fatally Injured in Early Morning Single Vehicle Crash on Solomons Island Road

The Anne Arundel County Police Department has identified Brian Vincent Yetter, 23, of Edgewater, as the man who died following a single vehicle crash early this morning.

According to police, officers assigned to the Southern District responded at approximately 2:05 a.m. on February 20, 2026, to a reported collision on Solomons Island Road near Poplar Point Road. Due to the severity of the driver’s injuries, the department’s Crash Reconstruction Team was requested to respond.

A preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling southbound on Solomons Island Road, just south of East Road, when, for reasons that remain under investigation, it left the roadway, entered the center median, and struck a tree, police said.

The driver was transported to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Police identified Yetter as the driver of the vehicle, a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek.
