Maryland Reentry Resource Center to Bring ‘The Edit: Runway for Reentry’ to Historic London Town and Gardens in Edgewater on Oct. 22

Fashion, purpose and the message of second chances will come together this fall as the Maryland Reentry Resource Center (MDRRC) presents “The Edit | Runway for Reentry” at Historic London Town and Gardens in Edgewater.

The benefit will be held Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 6 to 9 p.m., bringing together fashion and reentry advocacy through an evening centered on reinvention, redirection and the opportunity to begin again. Information about how to purchase tickets can be found by clicking here.

MDRRC was founded in 2019 by Executive Director Ms. Vanessa Bright with a focus on supporting formerly incarcerated individuals as they return to their communities. The organization works to reduce recidivism in Maryland by connecting returning citizens with employment opportunities, training, client support and other resources intended to help build stability following incarceration.

Built around the theme, “Midlife is not the ending, it is the edit,” the October event will feature men and women whose stories reflect reinvention and the ability to move forward into a new chapter.

The runway show will be presented in three acts, “The Reset,” “The Redirect” and “The Reveal,” with each portion reinforcing the evening’s central message that everyone deserves the chance to begin again.

Guests can also expect a garden cocktail hour, a women-owned vendor marketplace and a fund-a-need portion of the program. Proceeds from tickets, bids and sponsorships will support reentry services for Maryland families rebuilding their lives.

The evening also incorporates ReBloom, a podcast and community focused on women navigating midlife with purpose and resilience. Its message complements the broader theme of “The Edit” by highlighting the idea that women can continue to grow, redirect and redefine their lives during midlife.

Organizers describe fashion as the vehicle for a larger conversation about reentry, second chances and the people working to rebuild their lives, summing up the purpose of the evening with the message, “Fashion is the vehicle. Reentry is the point. Bloom Again.”

“The Edit | Runway for Reentry” will take place October 22 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Historic London Town and Gardens in Edgewater.

Tickets begin at $75, with early bird pricing available. Tickets will also be available at the door for $85. Business attire is requested, and free parking will be available at the venue.
