Pasadena Home Fire Leaves One Person Dead, Another Injured


A house fire in Pasadena left one person deceased and another person injured this afternoon, officials said. 

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in the 900 block of 220th Street shortly after 3 PM this afternoon.  "Our 911 Center received multiple calls reporting this incident and information was also received that there was a possibility of someone trapped within the residence," a department spokesperson said. "Crews arrived and quickly worked to search the residence for any occupants and extinguish the fire."

One of the crews found an occupant during their search who was deceased, and one additional occupant was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview with non-life threatening injuries.  

No first responders were injured. Fire Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the fire and the Maryland State Medical Examiner will determine an official cause of death of the deceased occupant.
