Shooting on Tyler Avenue in Annapolis Leaves Man in Critical Condition; Suspect Arrested and Held Without Bond

The Annapolis Police Department has arrested the individual they believe shot a man on Tyler Avenue, a press release said today. 


Acording to the press release, officers were dispatched to a location in the 1300 block of Tyler Avenue at about 11:00pm yesterday following reports of shots fired.  "Upon arrival, a 20 year old local man was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers rendered aid to the victim and he was transported to an area hospital.  He is in critical condition," the statement said. 

Police reportedly executed a search warrant at a residence in the area, and subsequently identified Dimitria N. Weston, 29, as the suspect.  Weston was charged with attempted murder, first and second degree assault and other related charges. Weston was ordered to be held without bond at the Jennifer Road Detention Center.
