Police: Knife-Fight Among Teens in Severna Park Leads to Multiple Arrests

A knife-fight among a group of teens yesterday in Severna Park resulted in several arrests.

In a press release, the Anne Arundel County Police department said that on February 5, 2023, officers responded for a complaint of an unknown disturbance outside a residence in the 300 block of Riverdale Road. "The complainant reported he was followed home by a male suspect who asked the complainant if he wanted to fight and then left in his vehicle. While the suspect was gone, the complainant retrieved a kitchen knife from his house," authorities state.  "The suspect returned, accompanied by a second male suspect. The first suspect and complainant got into a fighting stance on the complainant’s driveway. "

According to the investigation, several of the victim’s family members exited the house and attempted to separate the combatants. The suspect reportedly punched the complainant twice in his face and then ran away.

The victim and his sister, both with knives, ran after the suspect, who became injured by the knife the complainant was holding. The injury was non-life-threatening.

The police department said the suspect’s accomplice exited the vehicle holding a machete, and ran toward the altercation, which caused the complainant and his sister to back off. The suspect and his accomplice got back into the vehicle and fled.

Officers located all of the individuals involved. They were arrested, charged accordingly and identified as:
