Nearly 1K Oxy Pills, Handgun Located as Police Investigated Assault in Linthicum; Halethorp Man Arrested

Nearly 1,000 oxycodone pills and a loaded gun were recently found while police investigated a reported assault in Linthicum. 

County police said that on February 13, 2023 at approximately 12:30 p.m., officers responded for a report of a domestic assault in progress at the Royal Farms, 803 Pinnacle Drive in Linthicum. As officers arrived, they reportedly witnessed the suspect strike the victim. "Officers approached the suspect who attempted to flee on foot. During his flight, the susepct was observed discarding a small plastic bag," officials wrote in a statement. 

 According to police department officials, the suspect was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. "Officers recovered the bag discarded by the suspect and found that it contained 914 pills of suspected Oxycodone. During a physical search of the suspect officers located a loaded black semi-automatic handgun."

Additional investigation lead officers to discover a civil amount of suspected marijuana as well learning the suspect was prohibited from possessing a firearm. The suspect was arrested, charged accordingly and identified as:
