Severna Park Community Continues to Mourn Death of 14 Year Old Freshman Following E-Moto Crash as Memorial Plans and Family Fundraiser Are Announced

As the Severna Park community continues to mourn the loss of 14 year old Ryan Beales, a freshman at Severna Park High School who passed away following an E-Moto crash last week, family members, friends and supporters are preparing to celebrate his life while coming together to support his loved ones.

A GoFundMe campaign was established on October 25, 2026, by Aleigh Habercam VanCaster on behalf of Ryan's mother, Stacy Beales, to assist with expenses associated with his celebration of life and other financial needs during this difficult time.

According to the fundraiser's description, the family has already received an outpouring of support, including assistance through Meal Train, an effort organized to provide meals for the family during the coming weeks.

The fundraising campaign offers community members another opportunity to provide assistance as the family prepares to honor Ryan's memory and navigate the days ahead.

Ryan passed away Thursday, October 22, from injuries sustained in a collision involving an electric motorbike and a pickup truck near the B&A Bike Trail in Severna Park the previous evening.

The circumstances surrounding the collision were detailed in an earlier report published by Report Annapolis News.

According to arrangements released by Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, a memorial visitation for Ryan will take place Friday, October 30, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and again from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Both visitations will be held at the funeral home, located at 495 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park.

In a particularly personal tribute, the family is encouraging those attending the visitation to wear Halloween costumes in celebration of Ryan's life.

"Guests are encouraged to wear a halloween costume to celebrate Ryan," the funeral home's announcement states.

The request provides an opportunity for family members, friends, classmates and community members to honor Ryan's memory in a distinctive way as they gather to remember his life.

For those unable to attend the visitation, the funeral home has also provided opportunities to send sympathy cards, arrange flowers or plant a memorial tree in Ryan's memory.

Community Support Continues

The announcement of memorial arrangements comes as support continues for Ryan's family following his passing.

The GoFundMe campaign was established to help ease the financial responsibilities facing his loved ones, allowing them to focus on their family and the arrangements to celebrate Ryan's life.

Community members wishing to assist financially may contribute to the fundraiser, while those unable to make a monetary donation can show their support by sharing the campaign or extending words of sympathy and encouragement.

As Ryan's family prepares for Friday's visitation, the efforts of those offering assistance reflect the compassion and support being extended throughout the Severna Park community.

Report Annapolis News offers condolences to the entire Beales family, Ryan's friends, classmates and all those mourning his passing.
